Montesa Cota 301RR: HRC-Inspired Tricolor Design
The Montesa Cota 301RR remains the jewel in the crown. Its excellent components are complemented by a brand-new design. Montesa’s flagship model will maintain two color options: the new “Fighting Red,” which replaces the previous “Atmosphere Blue Metallic.” This fresh decoration exhibits a reticulated texture in red, blue, and white, creating a matte effect. The fusion of these colors, along with the wheel decals, creates a striking and exclusive image, inspired by the spectacular tricolor style of HRC. The red straps highlight the personality of this racing-oriented machine. In addition, the Cota 301RR will also be available in the “Race Replica” decoration, which resembles Toni Bou’s world champion bike, with an updated design that highlights the red strap.
Among the improvements for the 2024 model, the new machined and anodized titanium gray steering stem stands out, which is lighter and more resistant, based on racing experience.
The 301RR is the most powerful Cota produced in series, designed for competition, as its surname “RR” (Race Ready) suggests. This model inherits the proven experience of the competition machines used by Montesa riders in the Trial World Championship and adopts most of its components and technical solutions.
The Cota 301RR retains its solid, high-performance aluminum frame and swingarm. It is also equipped with lobed brake discs used by competition machines on both axles, improving braking power. In addition, it has aluminum machined wheel hubs to reduce weight, just like the Montesa bikes in the Trial World Championship. It incorporates an aluminum muffler to increase resistance and improve performance.
Montesa Cota 4RT260R: Renewed Design
The Cota 4RT260R is presented with a new decoration in red, black, and gray. This elegant decoration has a matte effect and is combined with a black anodized chassis and gray and red graphics, which enhance the identity of Montesa. The newly added red strap provides a fresh image for the Cota. Like the Cota 301RR, the design of the high-resistance decals has been updated to better protect the part of the chassis that comes into contact with the boots. New wheel stickers have been added to complete the look. In addition, the Cota 260R includes a new handlebar and grips in its driving position.
The Cota 4RT260R is equipped with high-quality components, similar to the Cota 301RR, and has a complete set of premium Showa suspensions on both axles.
Montesa 4RIDE 2024: New Suspension and Design Details
For the popular 4RIDE, oriented to excursion trial, the stylistic aspects of the 2023 model have been maintained. However, some of the improvements of the Cota 4RT260R have been adopted, such as the new handlebar and grips. The most important novelty for the 4RIDE is the incorporation of a new R16V front suspension adjustable in preload and extension.
It should be noted that the entire Montesa range is manufactured in the modern Montesa Honda facilities in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Barcelona, guaranteeing high levels of quality in all production processes, from engine assembly to the manufacture of the aluminum frame, the gasoline tank, and the swingarm.
