Inspired by the legendary Honda CLs of the 60s and 70s, the new CL500 merges the best of retro charm with the most advanced technology and equipment, creating a completely new style of urban naked motorcycle within the Honda line. Designed to adapt to the motorcyclist’s lifestyle, this bike is capable of effortlessly facing daily traffic, long weekend trips, and even some off-road adventures.
The CL500 features Honda’s popular and energetic 471cc parallel-twin engine, compatible with the A2 license, which delivers a power of 35 kW and a maximum torque of 43.3Nm. The ECU has been configured exclusively to achieve precise and rapid acceleration from start-up and throughout the rev range, especially at low and medium revs.
The horizontal line of the CL500’s design extends from its distinctive round headlight, equipped with four LED bulbs, through the elegantly rounded fuel tank, to the high-mounted exhaust silencer, with its characteristic perforated stainless steel heat shield. Details such as the side tank protectors, the thickly padded seat and Honda logo, the circular LED indicators, the high handlebars, and the rubber bellows on the fork come together to create a look that offers a fresh and distinctive charm, different from any other Honda model.
The multi-tubular steel chassis is a statement of style and the basis for easy and effective handling. The long-travel suspension consists of a 41mm telescopic fork and an adjustable rear shock, while the wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear) are fitted with tires with an off-road appearance.
The CL500 is available in four spectacular colors: Energy Candy Orange, Laurel Green Matte Metallic, Caribbean Blue Sea Candy and Gunpowder Black Matte Metallic.
